I think it's safe to say it now. I quit smoking. 27th June. No applause please...just send money.

So what is addiction? I've discovered that half the time I thought I had a craving for a cigarette it was just hunger. Other times it was waiting. Waiting is soooo boring. But OMG  the stink in my clothes and handbags!! Little bowls of soda bic adorn cupboaards and drawers. I've been feelin pretty cruddy. My sinuses constantly attack me and my skin, hair and nails are the worst they've ever been. Yet none of this gives me the slightest desire to start smoking again.

Part of the reason that stops us quitting, I believe, is the subtle subconscious question...if I don't smoke, who am I? What is there to define me? I think the only answer to this is, as I used to define myself as a smoker I now am a non-smoker. BIG DEAL!! Neither are definitions of me that have any importance at all!

I also got a 'new' car that has never been smoked in. OMG It's a girl car!  Who knew? Oh and that extra $50 pw is fantastic. Life is  a rainbow

 I have replaced the habit; substituted if you like; with an increase in my use of electronic gadgetry. Doesn't cost as much in the long run; (hand-held games are more acceptable in the back of a cab)

Yep I'm a non-smoker. Doesn't bother me if you smoke; in fact, I rather like the smell of fresh burning tobacco. Just not in my car

Ack! Another blogger hits the dust. I went to check up on Cylon cause I hadn't seen a "recently updated" for a while and the entire blog is gone. Is this what Tim was talking about? I'll cry if mine goes, I swear. Cylon, if you read this please let us know
